Our Summer in Seattle

I have been inspired by an amazing woman Kayli and her writing to re enter the world of blogging. I am obviously much better at blog stalking than I am at blogging the intricacies of our life.

So where to begin...

Picking up where I left off last year so much has happened. We were preparing for the holidays and I must say they were magical. It was so nice being able to spend quality time with my new hubby and our families.

For new years we got the opportunity to run away to Alans parents cabin and invited a few couples to join us. The Helms and The Nelsons graced us with their presence and we had a weekend filled with food, fun and friends. That year Rashell & Colby and Alan & I had both gotten married and Kelsey & Alex were expecting their first baby so we had a lot to be grateful for and lots to celebrate.

The week after new years was Kelseys baby shower and I had so much fun with it...safe to say I think I went a little overboard but here are a few pictures I was able to snap. Rashell took all the pictures of the actual shower.

The following months were full of ups and downs, friendships fell apart and new friendships were formed and Alan and I were enjoying our newlywed bliss. He signed on with a new security company and we began preparing for our summer venture to Washington state excited for what the future would hold. I delivered the somber news to my boss that I would be leaving Pinnacle to join Alan for the summer and we turned our sights to creating something together. I was so thankful that I had experience in the security industry that True Home Security could use and they hired me as their Funding Coordinator which has been a fun and challenging experience for me. Here are some pictures from one of the pre season trips we went on..

We decided to make a trip to California in April to celebrate our birthdays before packing up our things and leaving to Washington. We had the opportunity to bring my brother Lindsay to visit his Dad and my nephew Bryson to soak up with sand and sun with us. Here are some pictures from that trip:

The boys all had so much fun in the sand we couldn't get Bryson off the beach!

Brysons favorite part of the beach was running from the waves!

No beach trip is complete without an ice cream cone!

DISNEYLAND

Easter

Its probably obvious I am obsessed with my nephew. We had the privaledge of getting to take him to Washington to for half of the summer. He was such a blast to have around with me. Here are some pics from his time with us:

The iPad helped him pass the time on our 15+ hour drive!

As soon as we got here he fit right in...just one of the guys!

Alan bought an oversized moose at Costco

He loved the park here in Puyallup where we took the dogs to play!

We also potty trained Bryson which was a fun undertaking full of surprises. He was so proud of himself and Uncle Alan and Uncle Dayson were always the first ones he wanted to show or tell...

We got to do a lot of fun stuff with Bryson while he was here like...

 Pikes Marketplace

 Gum Wall

He even got to pose with an action figure!

We got do lots of crafts and cooking..
